Leslie Cruz, 63, of Hartford, CT passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 3, 2024, due to ongoing health issues. Leslie was born on December 26, 1960, to Carmen Victoria Cruz and the late Venancio Cruz.

Leslie was a Certified Medical Assistant at Hartford Hospital for some time and a driver for the City of Hartford for over a decade. He was known for his great sense of humor and style. He enjoyed listening and dancing to Salsa music, playing handball and tennis, and tinkering with his many gadgets. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was loved and cherished by a multitude of friends and family and was admired and respected by many for his kindness and generosity. His infectious smile and personality endeared him to everyone he encountered throughout his life, and he will be missed dearly.

Leslie is survived by his four children: Vanessa Ivette Cruz, Leslie Annette Thompson & husband Michael Thompson, Leslian Cruz, and stepson Alexander Baez; four grandchildren: Malique Thompson, Amaiah Faith Thompson, Pedro Dillon Ortiz, and Savannah Thompson; four sisters: Nilsa Feliciano & husband Pablo Feliciano, Myrna Lopez, Lissette Colon, and Vicky Amaro Cruz & husband Luis Amaro, in addition to several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 12 PM at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT, followed by the burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
