Lillian C. (Doucette) Dumais, 87, of Hartford, wife of the late Alvin J. Dumais, died peacefully Wednesday, October 19, 2011. She was born in Grand Isle, Maine, daughter of the late Leonard and Annie (Cyr) Doucette. She was a longtime communicant of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, she enjoyed going to Bingo, reading, playing cards and crocheting. She loved her family and is survived by her daughter Brigitte Poulin and her husband Jean- Guy of Hartford, two sons, Philippe Dumais and his wife Louise of New Britain, and Cyr Leo Dumais and his wife Barbara of Manchester, a brother Roger Doucette and his wife Lucille, 4 sisters, Jeannette Belanger, Alphena Money, Geraldine Andrukevich, and Sister Georgianne of the Sisters of Good Shepard., three grandchildren, Lisa Dumais, and Steve and Scott Poulin, six great grandchildren, Olivia, Juliette, Sebastian, Gabriela, Jake, and Tabitha and one great great grandchild Jaden, and a brother-in-law, Louis Dufour. The family would like to thank the staff at Avery Heights for all their compassionate loving care. The funeral will be Saturday, October 22, 2011, 10:15 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m. in St. Lawrence O'Toole Church 494 New Britain Ave. Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
