Eventually calling the "Southend" her home, Lillian was a stay-at-home mom. Her joy in this life was raising her children and babysitting her grandchildren. She was a member of St Augustine's Church, sending all five of her children to St. Augustine's School. She never had a driver's license but that didn't stop her from enjoying the city she lived in. She loved walking, and walking she did. As her children, we often walked with her on various errands, as her grandchildren, most days were spent walking to and around Goodwin "Goody" Park. She also loved downtown Hartford. Bus trips to G Fox and Sage Allen's were part of our life in the city. Lillian loved going out dancing and had a love for music. A love she passed on to her children & grandchildren. Classic country music was forever being played in our home. Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Waylon Jennings, George Jones and Johnny Cash just to name a few. She often spoke of times when herself and other family and friends attended shows at the Bushnell to see such performers. Lillian was a very strong independent Irish woman, who will be greatly missed by many people.
