Lionel A. St. Martin, 90 of Newington, husband of the late Mary (Zima) St. Martin, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. He was born in Hartford, January 18, 1923, one of 8 sons of the late Victor and Rena (Houle) St. Martin. Lionel served in the Army Air Force and was a veteran of WW II. In his early years he delivered milk for the Farmers Milk Dairy; he later worked for the Town of Newington Highway Department and had many fond memories of late night snow plowing. Lionel was a member of the Hartford Liederkranz, Newington Senior Center, Newington Senior Club, AARP and a was communicant of Holy Spirit Church. He leaves his dear friend of many years, Helen Freitag of Newington, several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by all of his brothers. The funeral will be Monday, March 18, 2013, 9:00 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. in Holy Spirit Church, 183 Church St. Newington. Burial with full military honors will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
