Lois A. May (Galovich), 88, of Chapin, SC beloved widow of William Martin May passed away on July 23, 2020.  She was born October 26, 1931 in Hartford Connecticut to Frank and Frances (Golas) Galovich.

For many years Lois worked for The Hartford Insurance Group.  She retired to the beach in Calabash, NC in 1993.  Being at the beach were some of her most happy times.  Lois enjoyed being a wife and mother, spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, crocheting, cooking, singing and making blankets for the poor.  She was a member of the Chirpers in Chapin, SC.

Lois is survived by her daughter Cathy Desroches and son-in-law Joe, son James May and daughter in-law Sally and son-in-law Bill Karabetsos.  She leaves behind her loving sister and brother-in-law Jean and Gary Grilli.  Her grandchildren Joey and Greg Desroches, Hannah and Miles May, Dean Karabetsos and his wife Patty, Jamie and Krissy Karabetsos, and her great grandchildren Taylor and Camden Karabetsos.  She also leaves behind many dear nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Carol Ann Karabetsos and her brother Kenny Galovich.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
