Maie Bugbee, 83, of Hartford, beloved widow of Ralph Bugbee, passed away on August 6, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Pihtla, Estonia, on February 1, 1933 to the late August and Helmi (Rahnel) Pihel. She was a graduate of Windham High School and Hartford Art School of Fashion. She was employed in the food service industry for many years. Maie leaves behind her four children Kalev Bugbee and Aldo Bugbee both of Hartford, CT, Erika Brewster and Michael Bugbee both of Cantwell, AK, her grandchildren Michael and Andrew Bugbee, Matthew and Jessica Brewster, Willow Bugbee, Matthew, Joseph and Joshua, her great-grandchildren Caden, Jacob, Livia, Taylor, Avery, Abbey, and Ashton. She also leaved behind her brother Rein Pihel and his wife Helgi, and her nephew Erik and niece Karin. Other than her parents and husband, Maie was predeceased by her son Mark Bugbee, and her sister Oie Pihel. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., on Friday, August 12, at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
