Maria Nazario, 85 of Vernon passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Juan Lopez and Maria Lopez Cabrera and moved to Florida, before moving to Connecticut over 40 years ago. Maria enjoyed painting her nails, cooking family dinners, watching her Spanish soap operas, dyeing her hair, drinking coffee with bread watching her favorite show Impractical Jokers and in her younger days dancing, and enjoying life itself.

Maria is survived by her 4 sons; Angel Yambo of Puerto Rico, Luis Martir of Florida, Roberto Martir of Hartford, and Miguel Martir of Newington, her 7 daughters; Judy Yambo of Florida, Marisel Martir of Hartford, Evelyn Martir of Hartford, Ana Martir of Florida, Esther Martir of Hartford, Carida Nazario of Vernon, and Yolanda Zukovich of Florida She also leaves a sister, Suzanna Ortega of Puerto Rico, 34 grandchildren, and 50 great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, December 10, 2021, from 5 to 8 PM at the Dillon Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield.  Also Saturday at the funeral home from 10 AM to 12 Noon, with a prayer service starting at 12 Noon.
