Maricel Lluveras, (Mary) was born on August 12, 1965 in Ponce, PR, to Hector Lluveras and Myrna Martinez. She was the eldest of four children. Mary relocated to CT in 1984. Shortly after, she graduated with a degree in accounting. Mary was married to Efrain Torres Jr, for over 25 years, in which two children were born. Mary was great at working with numbers and enjoyed helping family and friends with income taxes. She was a generous individual and she insisted on helping those in the local community. Mary was passionate about living a plentiful life, and had an infectious smile. Mary enjoyed the company of her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary is survived by her parents, Hector Lluveras and Myrna Martinez, from MA; Daughter, Yamilka M. Torres, and her spouse Jose Delgado; Son, Efrain M. Torres III, and his spouse Catherine Muniz; Ex Husband Efrain Torres Jr; longtime partner, Jorge Polikowski and his daughters Sabrina, Romina, and Georgina, all from CT. Siblings, Keyla Lluveras from NJ, Jameleete Lluveras from NY, Hector Lluveras Jr from MA. Most importantly, her four grandchildren, Jayden, Jordan, J'lanie, and Jeter. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Mary died peacefully in New Britain, CT on 12/13/2017 at the age of 52. The funeral will be Monday, December 18th, 9 AM from the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Ave., Hartford. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, December 17th, from 1-4 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary's life.
