Marie F. Costello (Harding), 87, of Hartford, devoted wife of the late John P. Costello for 64 years, died peacefully on June 6, 2011. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, June 19, 1923, daughter of the late Leon C. Harding and Katherine(Carr) Harding she resided in Hartford for 67 years. Marie's entire adult life was devoted to family, church and community. For many years she was an active member of the St. Lawrence O'Toole's Rosary Altar Society and the South Catholic High School Mother's Club. She leaves five children, Daniel P. Costello and his wife Leanne of Windsor, James E. Costello of Wethersfield, William J. Costello and his wife Billie of East Middlebury, VT., Anne Costello-Heath and her husband Robert of Southington, and Stephen T. Costello and his wife Janet of Denver, CO. Marie also leaves 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Marie was predeceased by brothers Robert L. Harding, John C. Harding, Paul R. Harding and sisters Catherine L. Parquette, Mary Elizabeth Fitzpatrick and Pauline C. Harding. The funeral will be Friday, June 10, 2011, 10:15 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpk. Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy. Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
