Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Arico, 89, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of Peter Arico, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021, at her home. She was born in Providence, RI daughter of the late Charles and Nina (Gadrow) Barker and had lived in Wethersfield for many years before moving to Rocky Hill. Prior to her retirement, Betty worked for Amica Insurance Co. and she was a long-time communicant of Incarnation Church, Wethersfield.

Besides her husband Peter, Betty leaves her two sons; Michael Leyden and his wife Deirdre of Yarmouth, MA, and Patrick Leyden and his wife Vanessa of Summerville, SC. Her three step daughters; Rona Murphy and her husband Rob of Wethersfield, Jane McCarthy and her husband Moe of Southington, and Tricia Fortin and her husband Vern of Wethersfield. Her six grandchildren; Matthew, Brett, Kelly, Matthew, Joe, and Nicole. And a sister, Carol Kelley and nephew Chuck of Seattle, WA

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 14th, 11:00 a.m. in the Church of The Incarnation, 544 Prospect St. Wethersfield, CT 06109. Burial will be private.
