Mary Diamond, 84 of Wethersfield, beloved wife of George Diamond passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021. She was born in Agios Vasilios, Tripolis, Greece, daughter of the late Dimitrios and Panagiota Roubopoulos, and had lived in Wethersfield for many years. Mary was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral  and was a well respected local restaurant owner for over 30 years.

Besides her husband George, she is survived by her 3 grandchildren; Panagiota Fotaras, and her husband Emmanouil of Wethersfield, Nicholetta Diamond, and her husband Adrian of Meriden, and Jade Diamond also of Meriden. In addition, Mary leaves her 5 great grandchildren; Riley, Nico, Stamos, Adriana and Destiny. She was predeceased by her two children; her son, James N. Diamond, and her daughter, Niki Diamond.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 27th, at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave. Hartford, CT 06114, with the Rev. Dr. George Zugravu officiating. Visiting hours will be Saturday, prior to the service, from 10 to 11am at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will be private.
