Maryann Shiembob, 85, of Wethersfield, CT beloved wife of the late Norman Shiembob passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Maryann was born in Bronx, NY on March 20th 1939 and was the daughter of the late  Romeo and Melina (Cerbone) DeSanctis. Maryann graduated from Aquinas High School in the Bronx in 1957. Soon thereafter, she relocated to Connecticut where she was introduced to Norman Shiembob and they began a relationship. Norman and Maryann married on May 11th, 1968 and settled in Wethersfield, CT where they raised their two sons. In later years, Maryann worked as the office manger at a local doctor's office.  She enjoyed interacting with people and contributing to their health and wellbeing. Maryann enjoyed several hobbies including, sewing, gardening and cooking and baking for family and friends. One of her great joys was caring for and loving our dogs Rocky, Duke and Randy.

Maryann is survived by her two sons, Dr. Michael Shiembob of Wethersfield, CT and Stephen Shiembob of Indian Land, SC. She also leaves behind daughter-in-law Maureen Shiembob and grandson Nicholas Shiembob.

A graveside service for Maryann will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11am at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford, CT.
