Matthew N. Beram, 48, of Wethersfield, CT passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 unexpectedly at home. Matthew was born in Hartford, CT and was the son of Nicholas and Kathleen (James) Beram. Matthew grew up in West Hartford and Farmington, CT. and moved to Los Angeles, California in 1995, where he lived for over 20 years. He was employed with Coast to Coast Office Supplies as a sales rep for several years before moving onto Wells Fargo Merchant Services. Matthew moved back to Connecticut 6 years ago to be closer to his family. Matthew was currently employed at Elizabeth Green Elementary School in Newington, CT. where he was following his dream and passion of working with children. He was also attending Tunxis Community College, where he was working towards his degree in early childhood education. Matthew had a love for life and showed that through his adventurous spirit. He ran 3 marathons for charities, 2 of which were in Hawaii. He took guitar lessons, loved fishing, reading, music, going to the movies, playing games, traveling, muscle cars, and especially spending time with his family! Matthew was a very devoted and loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was empathetic and a great listener with a warm soul. We will all especially miss Matt's sense of humor and contagious laugh.  Matthew will leave an unfillable gap in all our hearts.

Matthew is survived by his mother Kathleen Beram and her partner Jeffrey Singer, his father Nicholas Beram and stepmother Prudence Bean, sister April Erkson and her husband Cliff Erkson, brother Joseph Beram, niece Jessica Erkson and great niece Emma Perez with whom he had a very special bond with., nephew Joshua Erkson and his wife Meghan Erkson as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends.
