Maura A. Lagan, 63, of Newington, passed away on November 1, 2018 after a long illness.  She was born April 10, 1955, daughter of the late Francis and Bridget (Davey) Lagan.  Maura was a graduate of South Catholic High School and attended Tunxis Community College before working at IBM, the FDIC and as a secretary for the State of CT, Department of Children and Families.  Maura was a member of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, was a CCD Religious Instructor and lector and part of a folk group. She enjoyed crocheting, skiing, fishing and traveling.

Maura is survived by lifelong friend Martin Kapalczynski, her angel helper Olga Veselova, her sister Breeda Royer and her husband Brian, her niece and nephew.  She also leaves behind two aunts and several cousins.  She was predeceased by her parents and her twin brother Neil Lagan.  Maura was supported by many friends and co-workers as her health declined.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 5, at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britain Ave., Hartford.  Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
