Maximiliana "Mami Machi" Manrique, 85 of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Martin S. Manrique, passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital Friday, January 21, 2022. She was born in Ayacucho, Peru, daughter of the late Santiago Parado and Dominga Soto, and had lived in Hartford and Wethersfield for 38 years. She enjoyed reading the Bible, traveling with her family, knitting, cooking Peruvian dishes, watching her telenovelas, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kindness, immense generosity, and eagerness to help without hesitation.

She is survived by her 3 daughters; Rosa Euribe and Luis of Hartford, Carmen Cervantes and Jose of South Windsor, and Dalia Manrique-Ajodhi and Mahadeo of South Windsor, her 2 sons; David Manrique of Hartford and Nimrod Manrique of Wethersfield, her two close nieces: Maria Luisa and Lacy of West Hartford, a brother, Juan De Dios Soto of Ica, Peru, and a sister, Celia Farfan of Ica, Peru. She also leaves 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sally Manrique and predeceased by 3 brothers; Lorenzo, Zacarias, and Amancio.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Dillon Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT 06109. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
