Michael P. Ryan, 59, of Newington, CT passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at UConn John Dempsey Hospital. Michael was born in Hartford, CT but grew up in Pittsburg, PA and was the son of the late William and Betty (Shea) Ryan.

Aside from his love for his family and friends his heart belonged to a few special passions. First and foremost, he was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Aside from that his ultimate moments of joy were found on the bowling lane, where he made countless remarkable memories throughout his life. He also enjoyed fishing, baseball and tending to his garden. Possessing the purest of hearts, he truly found happiness in the little things in life. His infectious smile remains a memory, dearly missed yet forever in our hearts.

Michael is survived by his two sons Dylan M. Ryan of Berlin, CT, and Chris J. Ryan of Enfield, CT, his daughter Heather C. Ryan of Berlin, CT, his two brothers James P. Ryan and Timothy W. Ryan, and his sister Kathleen E. Curcio. Michael was predeceased by his brother Daniel J. Ryan and his aunt Betty Jane Ryan.

Funeral service for Michael will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 12 pm at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT. Burial will be in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Relatives and friends may attend calling hours at the funeral home, Wednesday from 5 pm to 8 pm and Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm.
