Obituary

Norman is survived by his beloved wife, Ursula, children, Rae Ann Simpson and her husband Doug of Orange, CT, Ross Lagasse of Cleveland, OH, Ashlee  Lagasse of Manchester CT, his step-daughter, Cynthia Villalobos of West Hartford, CT, his brother Walter Lagasse and his wife, Eileen of Windsor, CT, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his second born son Brant Neil Lagasse, sisters  Martha Veilleux, Stella Michaud, Lucile Roy, Viola Nardi, Theresa Charette, and niece Erana D'Antonio. Also his beloved golden retriever, Candy.

Norman was born in Canada and moved to Maine as a small boy.

He worked at National Spring, American Steel and First and Last Tavern all in Hartford, CT before his employment for the City of Hartford were he retired from the Public  School System. He took great pride in his work.

Above anything else, Norman always said his children were his most beloved accomplishment in life. He took great pride in his family and would do anything to help someone he loved.

Norman loved race cars, antique cars, NASCAR; all things cars and dreamed of owning a Tesla someday. He also began traveling after his retirement. He enjoyed a trip to Peru and Cancun with his wife and stepdaughter.

To know Norman is to love him and those who do, know-He loved to laugh (and compare belly sizes with his brother). Even Through all the immense pain, treatments and numerous tests he endured, he still managed to constantly crack jokes and often become a "favorite patient" for whoever had the pleasure of working with him at any given day.

Norman's battle with cancer has come to an end but the memories and impact He had on so many people will live on forever. His heart and will to live far surpassed his bodies ability to go on but we find solace in the fact that He is at peace and no longer suffering. He is sorely missed.
