Orlando R. Oliveira, 88, of Wethersfield, beloved husband for 63 years of Alice (Ramos) Oliveira, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012. He was born in Barcelos, Portugal before immigrating to the U.S. in 1967 and had lived in Wethersfield since 1986. Prior to his retirement, Orlando worked for Spencer Turbine for over 20 years. He was a former member of the Portuguese Army, and a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima church. He was a former avid fisherman. He was a family man and enjoyed being around his children and grandchildren. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Jose A. Oliveira and his wife Clotilde of Farmington, two daughters, Odete Patrocinio and her husband Thomas of Cromwell, and Cecilia Goncalves of Wethersfield, four grand children, Amy and (Niko) Perdikakis, Wendy Case, Joe and (Heidi) Goncalves, Cristina and (Timothy) Johnson, three great grandchildren, Cristina Case, Alyssa Perdikakis and Wesley Goncalves. The family would like to thank Park Place Alzheimer's Unit for all their compassionate care. The funeral will be Saturday, 12:00 p.m. (Noon) from the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 12:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Square, Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
