Panagiotis S. Karahalios, 92, of South Windsor, beloved husband of the late Maria (Kyparidis) Karahalios died, Thursday, November 22, 2012. He was born in Derrahion, Arcadias, Greece before immigrating to the U.S. in 1965. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Royal Typewriter for many years. He was a longtime member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Konstandina Karahalios of So. Windsor and a daughter and son-in-law, Eleni and Tony Markantonakis of Glastonbury and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by four brothers. The funeral will be Thursday November 29th 1 p.m. in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave. Hartford, 06114, with the Rev. F. George Zugravu, Dean officiating. Visiting hours will be Thursday, November 29th 10:15-12:15 p.m. with a Trisayion Service at 12:15 p.m. at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield.
