Paola (Ciarcia) Cassarino, 91, of Hartford, widow of the late Salvatore Cassarino, died, Thursday, November 29, 2012. She was born in Canicattini Bagni, Sicily, daughter of the late Sebastino and Serafina (Gibilisco) Ciarcia. Prior to her retirement Paola worked as seamstress in a dress manufacturing co. She was a communicant of St. Luke's Church, and a member of The Daughters of Canicattini Bagni Society. She is survived by a daughter Maria Beard of NY, NY, a son and daughter-in-law, Sebastino and Maria Cassarino of Sicily, five grandchildren, Salvatore,Graziano and Annalisa Cassarino, and Domenico and Daniele Vallera, three great grandchildren, Giulia Cassarino, and Antonio and Christopher Vallera. The funeral will be Thursday, December 6, 10:30 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m. in St. Luke's Church, 66 Bolton St. Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours will be prior to the funeral Thursday 9-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
