SANTOS, Rafael C. Rafael C. Santos, 98, of Wethersfield beloved husband of the late Maria (Terezo) Santos, died, Tuesday (March 21, 2010) at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Serra De Santo Antonio, Portugal, before immigrating to the U.S. in 1962. He lived in Hartford before moving to Wethersfield seven years ago. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and a member of the Portuguese Club. He was an avid reader and loved to tell stories and had a great love of his home country Portugal. He is survived by a son Armindo Santos and his wife Ludovina of Palm Coast, FL, a daughter Isaura Santos Vieira of Wethersfield, four grandchildren, Manuel Vieira of Wethersfield and Carlos Vieira of Rocky Hill, Elizabeth Santos and Nancy Santos Kusy both of Palm Coast, FL, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren a sister Maria Angela of Portugal. He was predeceased by a brother, John Pena. The funeral will be Thursday, March 25, 2010, 9:15 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Square, Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
