Ralph J. DeMartino, 90, beloved husband for 65 years of Phyllis (Piergrossi) DeMartino, died Monday, September 16, 2013 at Ellis Manor. He was born in Hartford son of the late Carmello and Colomba (Borelli) DeMartino and was a lifelong resident. Prior to his retirement, Ralph worked for Travelers Insurance Co. for 35 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, a member of the South End Senior Center, and a former member of the Travelers Men's Club. He was an avid Yankee Baseball and UCONN Women's Basketball fan and he loved doing the Jumbo cross word puzzles. Besides his wife he is survived by a sister Angela Sheldon of Florida and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Mary Barber. The funeral will be Thursday, September 19, 2013, 11 a.m. at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
