Ramon L. Matos, 66 of West Hartford, beloved husband of Aurea Ingles, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, son of the late Emilio Matos, and Mercedes Pizzarro from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and had lived in Hartford for many years before moving to West Hartford.

Ramon's hobby was collecting antique cars

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons; Julio Rodriguez of Hartford, and Ramon Emilio Matos of  Manchester. His 4 daughters; Yahaira Rodriguez of Hartford, Danivell Matos of Puerto Rico, Dayanira Matos and Yamiletsy Matos and her husband Chris Patrick, all of  Hartford. A brother Guillermo Santiago of Hartford,  two sisters, Mariana Baez and Lydia Flores both of Hartford.17 grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren. Two step sons; Joel Madera of  Watertown and Jose Madera of Hartford and 4 step grandchildren. Ramon was also predeceased by two brothers Angel Matos and Ruben Matos, and two sisters Maribel Matos and Alberta Matos all from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and leaves many nieces and nephews. Ramon was loved by so many, always offering a helping hand to lots of people and making sure they were satisfied with their friendship. Ramon was an awesome  grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren . Ramon was a loving and devoted father and husband. Ramon loved family events and was a role model to everyone, especially his kids.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020, service will be for immediate family at 10:00am and friends 11 AM to 1 PM , at the Dillon Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield CT. Followed by the burial service at Mt St Benedict Cemetery 1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield CT ,06002
