Ramona Velazquez passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT.

Born Ramona Cruz-Ojeda in Naguabo, Puerto Rico on September 30, 1933, the daughter of the late Silveria Ojeda and the late Rufo Cruz. She was a longtime resident of Hartford, Connecticut. She is survived by her younger brothers, Lino Cruz and Teofilo Cruz of Puerto Rico.

She leaves behind her three children, Angel Rosario, Carmen Agosto and Luis Velazquez, all of Hartford. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Beatriz Rosario-Diaz, Eric Rosario, Jessica Rosario, Luis Caballero, Lissette Caballero, Alexis Rodriguez and Ivette Velazquez, as well as a host of great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28th, 12:00 PM at Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT.
