Richard G. Loomis, 72, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Josephine (Zocco) Loomis, died suddenly, Monday, March 9, 2015. He was born in Hartford and had lived in Wethersfield for several years. Prior to his retirement Richard was a security officer, having served at Trinity College and St. Francis Hospital. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge, East Hartford. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Barbara Santiago and husband Edgar of Wethersfield and Patricia Gilbert of NH, four grandchildren, Robert, Russell, Jeremiah and a special grandson Izaiah. He was predeceased by a son Robert Loomis. Memorial Visiting Hours will be Monday, March 16,2015, 5-8 PM at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield. Burial will be private.
