Robert R. Connolly, 87, of West Hartford, CT beloved husband of Edith (Phillips) Connolly passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 after a long illness. Robert received good care at Seabury in Bloomfield and from Masonic Care. He was born in New Britain, CT. Robert was a graduate of the American Academy of Embalming class of 1955. He served in the Army in Frankfort, Germany from 1958 - 1960. Robert was employed for 50 years as an Embalmer/Funeral Director at various funeral homes. He retired in 1998. Robert made a great teacher and helped many apprentices learn their skills. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in West Hartford for over 50 years. Robert was an active member and head usher for many years.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Edith Connolly, his brother Glenn Connolly and his wife Kathie as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Cyril and Mildred (Ripple) Connolly and his brother Deane.

Burial was held in the family plot in Lime Rock, CT. A service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 679 Farmington Ave., West Hartford on a date to be announced - sometime in January 2024. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church or the Unity Lodge No. 148 A.F. & A.M., P.O.
