Robert J. Hirbour, 93, died, October 31, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Hildur E. (Lindstrom) Hirbour. He was born in Waterbury, son of the late Hector and Cecile Hirbour. Prior to his retirement, Bob ran a concession Cafeteria for the State of CT for 30 years. He was a member and Past President of The Wethersfield Lions Club and a Melvin Jones Fellow, he was a communicant of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church and a Director of the American Youth Hostile and a graduate of Oak Hill School for the Blind. Besides his wife he is survived by a brother Joseph Hirbour and his wife Diane of Sebastian, FL two sisters, Jeanine Brasile of Newington and Lucille Brennan of Nyack, NY many nieces and nephews, especially Beverly Couch of Venice, FL. He was predeceased by his first wife Alice (Puzacke) Hirbour. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, November 9, 10 am in St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britain Ave. Hartford, CT 06106. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Thomaston. There will be no visiting hours. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Lawrence O'Toole Church.
