Rosemary (Uccello) Chmielewski, 70, of Old Saybrook, CT. passed away peacefully on November 17, 2016. Rosemary is joined in Heaven by her loving parents, Salvatore and Lucille Uccello. Rosemary leaves behind her devoted husband, John Chmielewski, her loving daughter, Cheryl (Gionfriddo) Felix, her three grandchildren Hunter, Ashton, and Jaci, and her two step-daughters, Kathy and Karen, and their families. Rosemary is also survived by her two siblings, her sister, Susan Vargas, and her brother, Paul Uccello. She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Grieving family and friends, Don, Troy, Rachel, Julie, Katherine, and Doris will forever hold Rosemary within their hearts. Rosemary was loved so dearly by those she held close, and while many remember her during her retirement years, she would also want to be remembered for who she truly was. Above all else, Rosemary was a wife, a mother and an amazing grandmother. In addition to always putting her loving family first, Rosemary also worked as a bank teller from a very young age; customers from near and far will always remember her kind, loving and inviting smile. In the honor of Rosemary's request, there will be no calling hours held...but rather a Mass and a Celebration of Rosemary's Life. A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosemary will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at St. John's Church located at 161 Main Street, Old Saybrook, CT. A Celebration of Life will be held following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, it was Rosemary's wish that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
