Sandra "Sandy" Martinez, of Hartford, passed unexpectedly on Feb. 27, 2017. Sandy was born Nov. 9, 1950 in Rumford, Maine to James and Anne Arsenault who are now deceased. Sandy was a longtime active member of the Women of the Moose Lodge 2115. She also served as a communicant of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. She is survived by her mother-in-law Estrella, and predeceased by her father-in-law Rafael. Sandy also leaves behind her longtime partner and best friend Kris, and her three girls Deanna and her husband Carlos, Michelle, Sandra and her husband Ed. Sandy is survived by her grandchildren AJ, Alex, Emily, EJ, Janessa, Elisa, Bree, Carlos, Josh, Nate and Gabby. As well as her siblings and their spouses Pat and Joel, Gil and Kay, Vicki and Al, Janice and Dan, Joyce and Anita, Maria and Carlos, Gloria and Ramon, Rafael and Marie and her best friend Rosemary. She leaves her nieces and nephews Christina, Ramon, Carla, Manuel, Monica, Chris, Heather, Ben and Matt. She was predeceased by her ex-husband, Manny. The funeral will begin tomorrow, March 3, 9 AM at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 AM, in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Ave., Hartford. A celebration of life will be held after at the Moose Lodge 2115, 302 White St., Hartford, 06106. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
