Serafin Cecilia, 73, of West Hartford, beloved husband for 48 years of Carmen L. (Valentin) Cecilia, died, Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Isabela, Puerto Rico, and had lived in the Hartford area for over 60 years. Prior to his retirement, Serafin was a bus driver for the CT Transit for 23 years. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Jose A. Cecilia of Bristol, Serafin Cecilia, Jr. of Hartford, Wilfredo Cecilia of NJ, three daughters, Nancy Cecilia of Hartford, Ana H. Cecilia of NJ and Ana M. Cecilia of Puerto Rico, a brother Ramon of Puerto Rico, three sisters, Zenaida and Carmen M. Cecilia of Puerto Rico and Nilda Cecilia of OH, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Angel and a sister, Carmen. The funeral will be Wednesday, 9:45 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 a.m. in St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britain Ave. Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
