Serena Euphemia Rebbeca Moore (aka, Nana, Nana Mums, Granny Serena) 96, of Hartford, CT beloved wife of the late Samuel Moore, Sr. passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Avery Heights, Hartford. Serena was born in Canal #1 Polder, West Bank Demerara, Guyana and was the daughter of the late Robert Simpson and Julia Wilson.

Serena was predeceased by her husband Samuel Nathaniel Moore Sr., and children, Theophilus Moore, Bellvanie Moore, Timothy Moore, Derry Talbot, Issaac Moore, Samuel Moore Jr., Donovan Moore. Siblings Robert Simpson, Tryphena Howard and John Simpson. Grandchild Vanessa Moore. Daughters-in-law Lorna & Maureen Moore.

She is survived by her children Clyde Pyle, Patrick Pyle, Paula Moore and her adopted children Pamela Doris & Angela McCalman.

A memorial for Serena will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2024, at South Hartford Congregation located at 29 Wadsworth Street, Hartford, CT 06106. Private viewing for Family of Serena will be held from 9-10am. Relatives and friends may view from 10-11am. Burial will be private.
