Sheoraj "Deo" Persaud, age 75, of Newington Connecticut, beloved husband of Zirole "Renee" Persaud has passed away on Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. Sheoraj was born in Lagelacy West Coast, Guyana. Son of Ramanand and Budney Persaud. Brother of Mahadeo, Krishna, Ram, Arjune, Champa, and his late brother Hardeo and sister Latchmin. Sheoraj held various positions. In Guyana he worked as a rice planter at the rice cultivation, bookers garage as a auto body painter, tailor, full time taxi driver with a business at the side supplying restaurants with seafood and poultry. In 1990 Sheoraj came to the United States where he worked at retail stores, made manikins and retired as a security guard at JFK. Then he spent his time still taking care of his children, in laws, grandchildren and family.
Sheoraj leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Zirole Persaud, two daughters, Angelene and Sharmeela. Three Sons, Khemraj, Kenrick and Kamal. Two Sons-in-law Ram Kumar and Bobby. Three Daughters-in-law, Bibi, Shenny and Samantha. Fourteen grandchildren Melissa Kumar, Andrew Kumar, Shaneeza Persaud , Narissa Persaud , Kenny Persaud , Christopher Persaud , Kenneth Persaud , Jordan Gomez , Christal Persaud , Ashley Gomez , Gabriella Persaud , Nadia Persaud , Christie Persaud and Jerimiah Gomez. The funeral will be Saturday, January 30th, 2016, 8:00AM- 11:00AM, at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield.
