Shirley A. Payette, 68 of Berlin passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021. She was born in Hartford and had lived there most of her life.

Shirley retired from  Avery Heights Nursing Home in Hartford, CT where she worked for over 20 years.  Shirley enjoyed  most of her retired years spending special moments with friends and family. Shirley will be most remembered for her beautiful smile and very caring soul.

Shirley was predeceased by her mother Noella (Desmaris) Payette. She is survived by her son Ramon Ruiz and his wife Sandra of Newington, her 2 daughters; Christina Ruiz-Mojica and her husband Fred of Middletown, and Maggie Aponte and her husband Edgardo Rodriguez of Boston. She leaves a sister Helen Payette of Farmington, and 2 nephews; Joshua Payette and Jordan Chaverri. Her grandchildren; Luis Soto, Justin Lopez, Jacob Lopez, Ramon Ruiz, III, and Christopher Ruiz. Shirley also leaves her goddaughter Lynn Pineda, a special friend Don Watts, and many more extended family and friends.
