CORTEZON, Sister Socorro Sister Socorro Cortezon, 70, of the Sisters of Dominican Oblates of Jesus, died Thursday, January 13, 2011. She was born in Albillos, Burgos, Spain daughter of the late Celedonio and Angela Cortezon. Sister came to the U.S. in 1961, she along with her community worked at the Missionaries of La Salette for many years and more recently they operated a day care center. She was a volunteer for St. Lawrence O'Toole Church for many years. She is survived by sisters, Bernarda, Marta, Fidela, Magdalena, Caridad and brothers, Elias, and Florentino of Newington and a sister-in-law Amelia and her community of Sisters. She was predeceased by a sister, Purificacion and a brother David. The funeral will be Wednesday, January 19, 2011, 9:15 a.m. from the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britain Ave. Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery.
