Stephanie (Wolk) Branciforte, 91, of Wethersfield, CT went to be with her heavenly father on August 22, 2022. She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Salvatore "Bert" J. Branciforte. Stephanie was born in Wallingford to the late Mike and Mary (Krol) Wolk, she was proceeded in death by her brothers Julius, Michael, Joseph, Dr. Walter Wolk, and her sister Florence Wolk Spadaccini.  Stephanie is survived by her dear sister Patricia "Patty" Wolk Kenyon and sister-in-law Lorraine Wolk.

Stephanie worked for the City of Hartford before retiring and becoming a part-time school crossing guard.  She and Bert both loved their school crossing duties, and the children brought much joy to them. Stephanie had a way of instantly connecting with people and making fast friends. She loved Wethersfield, being at home, the occasional trip to the casino, and Bert's gardens.  Stephanie was proud of her Polish heritage and made some of the best pierogies! She was a devout Catholic and attended church regularly.

Family meant everything to "Aunt Steph" and she had many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews whom she adored.  Although Aunt Steph was small in stature, she had a big heart for her family.  Every niece and nephew used her as a measuring stick and rejoiced when they were taller than her!  This measurement was a rite of passage for all Wolk family children!

The funeral will be a Mass of Christian Burial held Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 10:00 am at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield. The burial will be private.  Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude: https://www.stjude.org/
