Steven M. Sladyk, 53, of West Hartford died September 8th, 2014 at his home. Born and raised in Wethersfield, son of the late Lorraine and Rudolph Sladyk, Steven had lived the past several years in West Hartford – he had a difficult life but enjoyed long walks and was an avid chess player. Steven is survived by: brother Rudolph Sladyk and wife Carol; sister Anita Sladyk; sister Debra Borea and her husband Morris and two sons John and Robert; sister Michelle Ballard and her husband Shawn and two daughters Lori and Lindsay; and by his brother Randolph Sladyk. A private family service will be held on Saturday 13 September at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home. Following the service, Steven will be interred at the Mt.
