Susan L. Carlson, 72, of Hartford, passed away on December 21, 2018. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Carl R. and Dorothy (Jurgensen) Carlson. Prior to retirement, Susan worked in the Group Life Department at Aetna for 42 years. She loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the children. Susan also loved to cook and bake.

She leaves behind her four sisters; Carole Kimshel of Rocky Hill, CT, Dotty Krauss of Lehigh Acres, FL, Karlene Eaton and her husband Curt of Windsor, CT, and Pamela Bruyette of Hartford, CT and her brother Carl Carlson of Hartford, CT. Susan is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Tammy Krauss of OK, Melissa Carlson and her husband Matt Kaliner of MA,  Karen Kimshel, Linda Serrao and her husband Frank, Lenny Kimshel, William Krauss and his wife Susan, Janice Dunham and her husband Jason, Robert Carlson and his wife Lori, and Patti Kobylarz and her husband Jeff. She also leaves behind her great-nieces and nephews, Franco Serrao, Giancarlo Serrao, Nora Serrao, Carole Krauss, Charles Krauss, Cole Dunham, Waylon Dunham, Sarah McPherson and her husband Dan, Katie Vigil and her husband Che and Andrew Kobylarz. Susan was predeceased by her parents and her two brothers Robert Carlson and Thomas Carlson.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, December 28th, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Please click the "View/Sign Guest Book' button above to share a memory with the family.
