CANCELMO, Sylvia (Gesuele) Sylvia M. (Gesuele) Cancelmo, 86, formerly of Rocky Hill, beloved widow of Daniel L. Cancelmo, died, Thursday (April 8, 2010). She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Dallesander) Gesuele. She lived in Rocky Hill for 30 years and had previously worked for Hartford Steam Boiler Insurance Co. for 14 years before retiring to Florida in 1980. She was a former communicant of St. James Church, Rocky Hill and was affiliated with the Rocky Hill Knights of Columbus. She is survived by a son John Cancelmo and Kelley Hayes of Unionville a daughter Annmarie Bradley and her husband Robert of East Hartford, a sister Elizabeth Majerski of East Hartford, three brothers, Joseph and Anthony Gesuele of Florida, and Thomas Gesuele of East Hartford, four grandchildren, Lauren and Christopher Cancelmo and Dylan and Megan Bradley, Timothy and Kelsey Moriarty and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Samuel Gesuele and three sisters, Margaret DiMeo, Rose Lombardo and Virginia Stebin. The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.
