Thomas G. Olander, Sr. 91, of Wethersfield, CT beloved husband of Josephine (Barry) Olander passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Thomas was born in Hartford, CT, and was the son of the late Michael and Nora (Knapp) Olander. Thomas proudly served during the Korean War in the U.S. Army and continued his service as a life-time member and past Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9945. Tom was a Master Plumber for over 40 years and well respected in the industry. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, his generosity knew no bounds. Never a day went by that he couldn't be found tending to his lawn and gardens or forever puttering in his garage.

Thomas was the last of 13 siblings; he leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Virginia and her husband Barry Cutkomp, his sons James, Brian and Thomas Jr and his wife Jessica. In addition, his memory will be carried on by his grandchildren Kelsey, Aubree, Maggie, Brett, Sophie, Sydney and his great-grandchildren Dane, Everett, Eden, and Blake.

Funeral service for Thomas will be held Monday, February 3 2025, at 11:30am at Christ the King Parish Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield, CT. Burial will be in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield. Relatives and friends may call at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT Monday from 9:30am to 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.ALZ.org it is the sincerest hope of Thomas' entire family that an end to the indignity associated with this terrible disease will soon be found.
