Obituary

Veronica Elizabeth Karas "Ronnie" 92 of Hartford. There is a special place in heaven for Veronica who passed peacefully on January 22nd, and she joins her husband Joseph Andrew, her sons Joseph Edward and Richard Lee, sister Anastasia Tichy and brother Bartholomew Kasper. She also had a brother Steven and a sister Stephanie who died in childhood in Poland. She leaves her sister Monica Klapatch, sons Steven, Philip, Mark, Kenneth and Andrew as well as her daughter Jeanne, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, innumerable nieces, nephews and cousins. Anyone who grew up in the neighborhood has fond memories of her loving home and selfless heart. Veronica was an avid fan of Uconn Women's Basketball, and she supported services for Native Americans and St Jude's Hospital. Veronica worked as a nurse's aide and clerical support in the insurance industry, Dillon Mailing Bureau, and for the State of CT Revenue Services. She was a life-long member of St Augustine Church and loved to pray the rosary. Calling hours will be at Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home 1276 Berlin Turnpike Wethersfield on Monday January 25th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, with a Funeral Mass at St Augustine Church 10 Campfield Avenue in Hartford at 10:00 AM on Tuesday January 26th. In lieu of flowers donations to your favorite charity would make her smile. To share a memory with the family, please visit www.dillonbaxter.com.
