Virginia "Vig" (Longo) Veillette, 86, of Marlborough, CT, passed away peacefully on the Saturday evening of July 14, 2018, from complications of diabetes, surrounded by her immediate family.  Over the years, Vig impacted many lives through her work in the Hartford school system and her volunteerism.  She served as president of Batchelder School Association and was a girl scout leader for many years.  She was always there to support the efforts of others and was very proud of all of her children's and grandchildren's accomplishments.   Vig grew up as a twin and had a special bond with her older sister Margherita "Rita" Demma, of Newington, CT.  Her husband, Leonard R. Veillette , of nearly 50 years had passed before her in 2001.  Vig is survived by her son, Stephen Veillette and his wife Carolyn, of Canton, CT, her daughter Dawn Veillette Diana and her husband Leonard, of Hartford Ct, and her daughter Donna Finocchiaro and her husband Santo of Marlborough, CT.  Vig also leaves behind her granddaughters Kristen Ezzo and her husband Matthew of Derby, CT and Amanda Finocchiaro of Boston, MA.  A lover of animals for most of her life, Virginia was blessed to have many loving pets surrounding her and providing her with comfort.  Virginia's favorite color is purple and will be prevalent at her memorial.  Please help to surround her with the color that she loves.
