BOGACZ, Walter J. Walter J. Bogacz, 92, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of the late Sophie (Sienkiewicz) Bogacz, died, Wednesday, (May 26, 2010) at his home. He was born in Hartford, son of the late John and Sophie (Cebula) Bogacz. Prior to his retirement, February 1, 1979, Walter was an Iron worker for 38 years. He recently was honored with a 70 year pin from the Iron Workers Local 15 for his many years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II and a World War II Honoree for actively serving in the Pacific Theater of operations, including Pearl Harbor, Saipan, Okinawa and Guam. He was a member of Incarnation Church. He will be sorely missed by his family, his daughter, Irene B. Jedidian and her husband Donald of Wethersfield, his three grandchildren, Jacqueline Ouellette of Middletown, Jennifer Graham of Lakeworth, FL and Lauren Jedidian of Newington, six great grandchildren and a sister, Helen Morris of Wethersfield. He was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Graham. The funeral will be private with burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
