AZZOLA, Wanda L. (Bowman) Wanda L. (Bowman) Azzola, 79, of Newington, died Thursday (February 11, 2010) at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Proctorville, Ohio, daughter of the late Dillard Bowman, Sr. and Marie (Bragg) Bowman, and had lived in Meriden for a number of years. Wanda had worked as an accountant for many businesses over the years, including Napier Jewelers and Data Products of Wallingford. She was a magna cum laude graduate of Quinnipiac University, and a member of The Elmwood Senior Center. She enjoyed her family and friends and was an avid traveler and dancer. She is survived by a daughter, Catherine M. Segal and her husband David of West Haven, two sons, James H. Azzola, Jr. of Stamford, and Joseph E. Azzola and his wife Wendy of West Granby, a sister, Doris Bowman of Proctorville, OH, two brothers Dillard Bowman, Jr. of Huntington, WV, and Ronnie M. Bowman of Lawrenceville, VA, five grandchildren, Lauren and Megan Azzola, Michael, Kevin and Mark Segal, many nieces and nephews, and a special friend, William Jones. She was predeceased by two sisters, Evelyn Barber and Juanita McCartney. A Memorial Service will be Held Wednesday, February 17, 2010, 7 p.m. at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
