Wladimir 'Walter' Filatov, 52 died peacefully at his home on Sunday February 23, 2020 in Reno, NV. Walter was born Sept. 7, 1967 in Hartford, CT and was a life-long resident of Windsor and Enfield before moving to Reno two years ago. Walter graduated in 1986 from Windsor High School. He worked as a Swiss CNC Machinist with Jiffy Air Tool and had a skill for creating complex parts. Walter loved motocross and enjoyed classic cars, with Hot August Nights being one of his favorite events. But his true love was his Rottweilers, over the past 25 years he raised four amazingly smart and beautiful animals. Walter was a loving son and a great friend. He loved his nephews and niece, cared greatly for his family, and was the best brother anyone could have had. Walter is survived by his Brother Alexander Filatov, Sister-in-law Colleen Filatov, niece Alexis Filatov and nephews Nicholas Filatov, Cody Filatov and Ryan Blackwood, his Partner in Life Paula Clothakis and son Zachary and Walter's loving cousins. He was predeceased by his father and mother; Alexander and Lidia Filatov. Funeral services will be private.
