Zaffiris (Jeff) Venoutsos, 69, of Rocky Hill, CT passed peacefully at Hartford Hospital on February 24, 2025 surrounded by his family.  Jeff was born in Greece on June 27, 1955; migrating to the USA with family and raised in Hartford within the Greek community.  He graduated from Bulkeley High School in 1973 and later joined the U.S. Army in 1974.  Jeff had a passion for cars and motorcycles at an early age, buying and restoring classic cars and later working in the automotive industry.  The last fifteen plus years prior to retiring, Jeff gave back to the community by managing a Sober House in East Hartford; leaving a positive impact on many individuals and their families while in their recovery process.

Jeff is survived by his loving son Jeffrey, his life partner, Patricia Gworek, his mother, Kaliopi Venoutsos, his brothers Demetrios and wife Donna, Peter and wife Lourdes, his sisters Stamatia Pike and husband Jim, and Alexandra Sadej and husband George.  He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who fondly referred to him as Uncle Gummy, always spoiling them with gum and candy at family gatherings. Jeff was predeceased by his father, Nikitas Venoutsos, his paternal grandparents (Demetrios & Stamatia Venoutsos) and his maternal grandparents (Zaffiris and Cassandra Manolitsis).

Funeral service for Jeff will be held Monday, March 3, 2025 at 12pm at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT. Burial will be held later at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, Monday from 11am to 1pm.The family would like to thank the VA Hospital, along with Hartford Hospital for their compassionate and caring treatment of Jeff.
