It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Zirole Nesa "Reene" Persaud, age 83, of Farmington, Connecticut. A cherished wife of the late Sheoraj "Deo" Persaud, Zirole departed this life on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at The Hospital of Central Connecticut.

Born in Herstelling, East Bank, Guyana, she was the beloved daughter of Indar "Hidar" Ali Khan and Bhagmania "Galo." Zirole was a loving sister to Shaimoon "Baby," Fazina "Faz," Naz, Nymoon, Hassan "Walker," Hussian "Bush," and Hashim, and she mourned the loss of her late brother Amzad, as well as her sisters Hazina, Zena, Fazila, and Shireen "Lovea."

Zirole attended Singers Sewing School and dedicated much of her life to being a caregiver. In 1990, she immigrated to the United States with her late husband, where she devoted herself to nurturing her children, grandchildren, and extended family.

Zirole leaves behind a legacy of love through her two daughters, Angelene and Sharmeela, and three sons, Khemraj, Kenrick, and Kamal. She is also survived by two sons-in-law, Ram Kumar and Bobby Gomez, as well as three daughters-in-law, Bibi, Shenny, and Samantha. Her memory will be cherished by her fourteen grandchildren: Melissa Kumar, Andrew Kumar, Shaneeza Persaud, Narissa Persaud, Kenny Persaud, Christopher Persaud, Kenneth Persaud, Jordan Gomez, Christal Persaud, Ashley Gomez, Gabriella Persaud, Nadia Persaud, Christie Persaud, and Jerimiah Gomez.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, located at 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield. Visiting hours will take place on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
